Amsterdam is home to many film festivals, including the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA- the largest documentary film festival in the world, and the Cinekid Festival for children and young people every October. Trains between Amsterdam and Ebbsfleet run around 17 times a week.

Featuring Dutch cuisine, specialities include the tilapia filet, salad and steak. De Poort- this restaurant has been in working order for over 100 years and is famous for its steaks Marijuana coffee shops- Amsterdam is probably most famous for these, where unlike coffee shops in the UK; they are in reality Marijuana cafes, where smoking is legal.
